Support, Flybuddy got me thinking. How many volts are needed on main bus for a guaranteed good boot? Next time that I am at the hangar I'll check bus voltage while booting.

I tried the 1,2,5 sequence many times and it does the same as just flipping on ship's power (hangs at Dynon splash screen). The only way now to start that screen is by battery power and then ship's power after it boots.

All six are tightened the same with a nut driver.

Tim, That is correct and exactly what I did. Just be sure to leave the other SV Net wires alone that run between the screens and/or to the other SV decives on the net. This is all shown on page 9-8 of the Installation Manual. Tom

Tim, Sorry, I mispoke a little on the last post. You will not see NAV mode on the autopilot until both screens have the 430 data. You will be able to see TRACK mode with just one screen seeing data. BTW, 10+ kts of GPS velocity are required to see TRACK/NAV mode show up. Tom

Richard, I think you are seeing the same thing as me WRT the EMS. My understanding is that once you have Skyview F/W Vers 2.0 in all the units (disregard the servos for now) and the configuration set up for all these you should not have this problem. For example you should be able to turn on...

Mel, The battery is in the engine compartment. The only thing back there that you mentioned is one of the comm antennas. It is on the other side of the fuselage, probably two feet away. The other comm antenna is in the vertical stab. I have not noticed that transmitting causes any changes...
