    Skyview remains off at startup

Support, Flybuddy got me thinking. How many volts are needed on main bus for a guaranteed good boot? Next time that I am at the hangar I'll check bus voltage while booting.

    Skyview remains off at startup

I tried the 1,2,5 sequence many times and it does the same as just flipping on ship's power (hangs at Dynon splash screen). The only way now to start that screen is by battery power and then ship's power after it boots.

All six are tightened the same with a nut driver.

    Skyview remains off at startup

Since installing the EMI filters yesterday, my 7" screen will not boot up from A/C main bus power. It ALWAYS stops at the Dynon splash screen. If I start it from the backup battery it boots normally. I can then add main bus power and it works fine from there. The other screen boots up...

    skyview dirty rf ...testing... resolved.

Just installed the 6 L-Com filters and new USB cables, supplied by Dynon, to the 10" and 7" screens in my Lancair 360. Sitting in the hangar, with all comms and GPSs running, both the Garmin 430 and KX-155 comms are quiet on many frequencies. Both had been intermittently very noisy before the...

Approach Stack - Sharing Garmin 430 Data?

Tim, That is correct and exactly what I did. Just be sure to leave the other SV Net wires alone that run between the screens and/or to the other SV decives on the net. This is all shown on page 9-8 of the Installation Manual. Tom

Approach Stack - Sharing Garmin 430 Data?

Tim, Now I am guessing, cause I have always done it from the pilot's seat. Since there is not supposed to be a "master" in SV, I think you can do it from either. Tom

Approach Stack - Sharing Garmin 430 Data?

Tim, Sorry, I mispoke a little on the last post. You will not see NAV mode on the autopilot until both screens have the 430 data. You will be able to see TRACK mode with just one screen seeing data. BTW, 10+ kts of GPS velocity are required to see TRACK/NAV mode show up. Tom

Approach Stack - Sharing Garmin 430 Data?

Tim, I went through the same thing. Yes, you need to connect the 430 serial TX line to a SV Serial RX line for each SV screen and set the config of both screens appropriately. If you have the 430 RX line connected to anything, be sure it is only connected to one SV screen serial TX wire (many...

Support, L-Comm now says in-stock on the DB-37s and the DB-9s. Any idea on when they will get in our hands? Thanks, Tom Thibault

    Loss of Skyview Configuration/Communication

Richard, Well not quite. What I am trying to describe is that after many normal power ups, with no change in equipment installed, some equipment is just not seen this time. The missing equipment had been configured long before and used many times. When this happens, both screens report the...

    Loss of Skyview Configuration/Communication

I think that in both the EMS and the servo case, status showed they were not present at all. The servo came back good with just two power cycles, no configuration detect needed. The EMS came back only after several attempts with configuration detect and power cycles for one event. On other...

    Loss of Skyview Configuration/Communication

Richard, I think you are seeing the same thing as me WRT the EMS. My understanding is that once you have Skyview F/W Vers 2.0 in all the units (disregard the servos for now) and the configuration set up for all these you should not have this problem. For example you should be able to turn on...

    Loss of Skyview Configuration/Communication

Has anyone else experienced this situation. Have SV1000 and SV700 screens, single ADAHRS, EMS, SV-GPS-250, and two SV-32 servos. All running 2.0 F/W. On multiple occasions, at power up, Skyview Net device is not seen on the bus. This has been either the EMS or one of the servos. Sometimes...

L-Comm now says 2-days availability on the DB-37s and in-stock on the DB-9s. Does that mean maybe a little earlier than we thought? Thanks, Tom

    Dual Skyview First Flight

Mel, The battery is in the engine compartment. The only thing back there that you mentioned is one of the comm antennas. It is on the other side of the fuselage, probably two feet away. The other comm antenna is in the vertical stab. I have not noticed that transmitting causes any changes...

    Factory Skyview Main Harness

What is the concensus on totally removingor coiling up the unused wires of the main harnesses? Please respond only if you are already flying (rather than the conjecture of what "should happen"). The symptoms I see are very strange. This weekend, on the two hour flights over and back to CA...

    Dual Skyview First Flight

Flew my Lancair 360 this AM for the first time with the all new panel. Skyview configuration is 10" display with single ADAHRS and backup battery, 7" display with single EMS and backup battery, SV-GPS-250, Dynon heated AOA pitot probe, plus pitch and roll servos. These are backed up with steam...

Need for Time and Date Input

OK. Guess I still don't understand. What I want to have happen is that all GPS info would come from my Garmin 430, Serial Input 1, whether for the map, HSI or whatever (except for the time, of course). The following quote seems to imply that GPS-250, set as POS 1, would supersede the Garmin...
