Nothing promised, but it's definitely a feature we've talked about. Note that you will get vertical HITS on Direct-To legs to runways (airport info page > runways > highlight a runway with the arrow > direct-to the runway) when you have your veritical navigation VS and angular preferences set.

I think that note means that the transponder isn't seeing the right format from your GPS. What format do you have that serial port set to on the GTN?

You need voltage ABOVE 12.25V for SkyView to charge the backup battery. This is so you don't discharge your aircraft battery to charge SkyView's when your alternator isn't running.
