Check the disconnect switch ... there has been a case of someone inadvertently using a NC switch as opposed to a NO type ;) also do you have the resistor fitted ?

There are no recommended resistors for the Jabiru engine however I've found 100 KoHm to work well on one of the Alternator output wires :)

The arm position doesn't matter, up to you. With the 9A ( A lighter pitch force aircraft) I'd use the outermost hole, this will allow the a/p to cope better with the responsiveness/lightness of the 9A. You get more torque using the inner holes but that isn't needed here.

Like the Static system you can add to it however if you have any issues, eg leaks, it will affect all connected to it. For true redundancy a second pitot may work for you.
