    Dynon released new WiFi adapter?

So is there something special about the 4” USB extension cable that Dynon provided that’s different from using another extender cable? My Wi-Fi adapters are installed on extender cables mounted to my avionics shelf and have no issues, so what’s up with short ones Dynon provided?

Automatic clear data log after saving

I do the same and would also like to see that feature added.

    FlyQ and Slingshot

This is the EXACT process I use to update mine - two pair of USB drives I cycle between updates.

    FlyQ and Slingshot

Yes, you need FlyQ EFB to utilize this feature. See attached screenshot from the FlyQ settings menu. I used it once to give it a try, but that was the only time. It takes longer than I’d like, plus if you’ve got dual HDXs, you have to load the database on each unit. I’d rather spend the time...

HDX Not seeing files on USB drive

Couple of really obvious questions, but is the USB drive 32G or less, and are the files in the root directory? That’s the extent of my ideas.

    Maroon Line On Map

Yes, I now agree. Flew yesterday and it happened again, this time while on the taxiway and thought to zoom out this time. Lots more missing data. Just never noticed it before.

    Maroon Line On Map

It reminded until I flew past it. Wish I had thought to have zoomed in and out to see its extent and maybe a better idea of what it was. Hopefully not a 16.5 artifact.

    Maroon Line On Map

I can't say I've ever noticed this wide maroon line on my map before. It's not an airway. Anyone know what it represents?

A word of warning for you dual HDX users with the 16.5 update…. Make sure Reversion Mode is turned off. Mine was enabled, and when trying to load it on the second HDX, the setup menu would not stay up - it flashed on the screen for a couple of seconds but then went back to the EFS screen...

Altitude setting different than the AP setting

In Simplified Mode you set the VS default. In Expert Mode, it uses the current VS when it’s engaged until changing it with the bug knob. If using the Nose Up/Down buttons to change altitude, I believe the default is 500 ft/min, which can be changed. See attached from the User Guide.

Altitude setting different than the AP setting

It will if you’re in “Simplified” mode vs. “Expert”.

My system froze on me too last year. I accidentally shut off the master while the system was booting. Upon rebooting, gave me a blank screen too. The BIOS got scrambled. I had to send it to Dynon to fix.

This is a really wild guess, but if you’ve cleared you data logs, is it possible the message is referring to your USB drive? What size drive are you using and how much free storage does it have? The installation software first uploads your existing settings to the USB drive before downloading...

    Refine Electric Trim

I know you don’t have an auto pilot, so auto trim wouldn’t be applicable, but I believe you can still adjust the sensitivity of your manual trim. The attached shows the settings I used in my RV-12iS; some apply to the auto trim. My sensitivity was too high too and these settings work well for me.

New AGL map info item not working

Worked fine on my HDX - no issues. I too had been waiting for this one. Give me END GALS and I’ll be a happy camper!
