    COM-425 Radio Exchange

Awesome. Page 11-3 of the same Installation Guide confirms the mounting tray dimensions used on the SV-COM-T25 & the SV-XPNDR-261 are identical. Thank you!

    COM-425 Radio Exchange

Perfect. Do you know where I can find a real-size/full scale drawing of the mounting tray used on the SV-COM-T25? If I had that, I could begin configuring my sub-panel while I wait for the transceiver to arrive. Is it the same tray used for the SV-XPNDER-261?

    COM-425 Radio Exchange

Thank you for posting this. It does confirm the X25 is superior to the C25, being a digital transceiver vs. analog. Although I'm a bit unsure the X25 will solve my noisy reception issues due to the sentence "This transceiver generally has very good reception performance, but sometimes had poor...

    COM-425 Radio Exchange

You had issues with your transmissions (Tx-talk) or reception (Rx-listen)? I hear no complaints from others while transmitting, only when I'm receiving. Interesting Dynon had you add an additional ground wire from the SV-INTECOM-2S to the SV-COM-425, as there are already many grounds connecting...

    COM-425 Radio Exchange

Thanks Marc - I didn't realize the SV-COM-T25 was the Trig replacement Dynon was sending me. After reading your post, I do see the differences outlined in the installation manual. Looks like I am not done with my Skyview installation!

    COM-425 Radio Exchange

I recently completed my RV-6's panel upgrade with an HDX system, including a new SV-COM-425 radio transceiver. This past weekend flying @ 8,500' over eastern Colorado, I called Denver Center to request Flight Following and the reception was extremely poor - very noisy, staticky and nearly...

How do I turn off audible terrain warning?

I wondered this also. I've searched through the Audio Setup menus (see attached) & the Messages and Alerts section of the HDX Pilot's User Guide (chapter 12) and found nothing that indicates there is a voice warning message regarding low terrain. If someone else finds an answer to the Ops...

Where to mount the ADHRS unit

Raymo - The plane's original builder installed a Dynon D100 in the panel and the EDC-D10A magnetometer in the tail section. When I removed and replaced the EDC with the Skyview magnetometer, I never gave any thought regarding mounting the ADAHRS in the tail section. Besides, as mentioned...

Where to mount the ADHRS unit

John - I am using the remote magnetometer. It is located and mounted in the tail section (see attached pictures) away from anything electrical. What the pictures do not show is the outside air temperature sensor, mounted just below the horizontal stabilizer and connected to the magnetometer. Andre'

Where to mount the ADHRS unit

I made a small shelf in the back of my RV-6 and mounted the ADAHRS and ADS-B receiver on top (see pictures) as I wanted to keep the coax run from the antenna to the ADS-B receiver short (minimal signal loss). The 3rd picture shows the routing of my static lines. I attended an EAA webinar hosted...

    SV-BAT-320 charging and ACM-ECB

Not sure about the DV-1000T but on the HDX, go to the Setup Menu > Local Display Setup > Battery Backup (SV-BAT-320) Status. See attached picture.

    Dynamic V-Speeds

I would be interested in learning more about the challenges presented with determining dynamic V-speeds! It would seem a Vo speed calculated by the HDX would be better than a static number that might have little correlation to actual flying parameters.

Which video camera for Dynon SV HDX ?

Can you/someone recommend a model or camera vendor they have used for connection to the HDX? I also would like to mount a camera in the underside of my RV-6 to monitor and help with landings.

Flaps Overspeed warning on G forces

The Flaps Overspeed audio annunciation selection can be found in SYSTEM SETUP > AUDIO SETUP > FLAPS OVERSPEED menu. There are multiple selections available in the AUDIO SETUP menu, requiring you scroll down quite a bit to find it.

    Dynamic V-Speeds

While I was configuring my HDX system setup screens, under PFD Setup > Airspeed Limitations > Performance I ran across a V-speed I hadn't seen before, Vo - Operating Maneuvering speed. As I didn't fully understand Dynon's brief description ("Vo is a speed selected by the manufacturer that is...

Swap HDX Left / Right Knob Functions?

Excellent news, Marc! After I first installed and got my HDX system setup & commissioned, I took a screenshot (buttons 2 + 7) of every menu, sub-menu and set-up screen. I brought the USB stick home, copied and labeled each image onto my home computer for reference. Very handy when searching for...
