Unable to get Glide Distance Ring on V14.0

Kurt, Are you in flight while checking this or on the ground? Do you also have your best glide speed set?

    Minor Mapping Bug

Jae, Those yellow CC and LV are the idents for the NDB's that are next to them. Why do you believe they shouldn't be there? The CC disappears when you zoom in because the higher priority VOR CCV overwrites it.

    Suggestions for after boot infoscreen

Michael, That's an interesting idea. Can you describe what you'd use it for so we can get a better sense of your use case?

    Skyview Default Map layer

This was a known behavior change iv v13, but we changed it back in v14. Release notes: Can you please double check that this is not working on v14? It does matter how you power it off. If you have no backup battery and change to sectionals and turn it off right away, that change won't get...

    Val Nav 2KR

We added the push of ILS/LOC frequencies in 11.0, back in 2014. The issue with controlling the 2KR is that you don't have control over volume or other audio, so you can't ident the station.

SV1000 Screen Froze in Flight - ver 14

John, Sorry to hear about that, and we will be very interested to look at your log file. Please upload it here: http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/upload.html How long was it unresponsive for and how did you eventually turn it off? As for rebooting, Page 3-6 of the user guide says: This is a...

    Dual Manifold Pressure

Not to contradict my colleague, but I will, because it's fun ;) You can actually run two MAP sensors if you edit the sensor config file. You can use pins  8, 22, 23, or 31 for a second MAP sensor. Attached is a sensor file that will allow that. Just note that the system only uses the one...

    SV-XPNDR-261/261 by Trig Part numbers

Don, That is not true. They both use the same firmware so there's no way to mess one up by telling SkyView it's the wrong transponder. What does (rarely) happen, is that the update process from the SkyView display can get interrupted (or other error) and the transponder doesn't get correctly...

    Traffic Confusion

Do you have the Dynon ADS-B in box? If not, you have to manually configure the transponder in the setup menu to tell it you have ADS-B in. Without this, the ground stations assume you don't have ADS-B in and don't waste bandwidth on sending you traffic. If you do have ADS-B IN from Dynon, then...

    v14 "Caution" audio alerts

If you export your user data logs, there is an alert log also exported and it will tell you what the alarms were for.

    SV-XPNDR-261/261 by Trig Part numbers

The transponder itself has a label on it that says if it's a 261 or 262. There is not a way to tell from the SkyView screen.

Knob-Panel not detected with SW version 14.0

Patrick, What does it say in the NETWORK STATUS page? Does it say the knob panel is missing (red) or out of date (yellow)?

    Introducing SkyView Assist

What devices do you have hooked to your system? There is a good chance you have one that is RX only and you can use the TX on that to stream to an adapter.

Missing "APT->COM" or "TUNE COM" selections

Check SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > PRIMARY COM. If your SV-COM-PANEL isn't shown there, update that setting. Then those tabs will work. (Without that setting being correct, SkyView doesn't know where to "send" the data.)

    News: SV-GPS-2020 Shipping & SkyView 14.0 Released

Until your SkyView system includes an SV-GPS-2020 (or other high integrity GPS), you are NOT compliant with USA 91.227. Thus, your SkyView system IS reporting your particular SkyView system's compliance with 91.227 correctly. Your system will still continue to get all ADS-B services now that it...

SV-XPNDR-261 not seeing IFD540 serial data

John, We might have missed that in the manual, but the release notes do show that was fixed. You can see all the changes here: http://dynonavionics.com/docs/WhatsNew_SkyView.html

    SkyVector and SkyView

Remember that SkyVector is a web site, not an app, so it doesn't work without an active internet connection, so it's not as much an in-aircraft application. Which also leaves it with some challenges in writing to an in-airplane network device.
