    SV-Intercom Wiring Guide

As Jake said (he's practically the "evening staff" on the Forum) it is a 2-conductor + shield wire, with one wire terminated to the shield just before the connector.

    TIS Only Problem

I know that most of you have talked to us about the issue, but the FAA would like to see that form filled out by individuals. We're trying to get them to believe us that it's a system issue on their end.

What certified GPS you need for IFR

Oh, is that all you want? ;) Enroute VNAV is the domain of full FMS systems, which general aviation GPS navigators are not. Generally only jets schedule their altitudes. It requires a lot of knowledge of climb and descent rates and aircraft performance. As far as I know, no GPS navigator...

What CAN you do with autopilot and no certifiedGPS

Also, here's a deeper discussion on why having a certified position source like a GPS-2020 doesn't really get you that close to having a full GPS navigator which is needed for IFR: http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1362597418

What CAN you do with autopilot and no certifiedGPS

No. The SV-GPS-2020 is a high integrity GPS receiver designed to satisfy the requirements for a high integrity GPS receiver as part of the FAA's 2020 ADS-B Out mandate. The SV-GPS-2020 is NOT a "Certified GPS" legal, or functional, for IFR. I think what's confusing a lot of folks is that IF...

What certified GPS you need for IFR

VNAV is a rather broad term. What specifically are you hoping SkyView could help you do?

    TIS Only Problem

Seeing a target "coast" is not that unusual. Remember that a ground radar sweeps as slow as 12 seconds. When that plane descends below radar coverage, the radar doesn't even see that for 12 seconds and I believe it takes another sweep for it to drop it. So it can take 24 seconds for radar to...

    TIS Only Problem

SkyView doesn't automatically do an upgrade of the transponder or force it. You have to press a button in the transponder menu. In any case, your transponder is on the latest version, and we know of no issues with that. The short term loss of the transponder when power cycling one screen is...

    Flow transducer

Wap, We sell the EI "red cubes" and you can get them from any Dynon dealer or from us direct. You can also use any fuel flow sensor that pulses at some rate per gallon.

    TIS Only Problem

Jae, NO RADAR means the ADS-B ground station has not marked your aircraft as one that it knows about and is currently covered by radar. This means that you don't have any guarantee of seeing planes without ADS-B OUT (ones with only Mode-C onboard). It doesn't mean you won't see any traffic, it...

    temperature readings

This is indicative of a grounding issue. Likely the sensors you're seeing the increase on are the ones that use the engine block as a ground return, such as the temp sensors. Did you connect one of the ground wires of the SV-EMS-220 to the main ground connection of the engine block?

    VAL Avionics compatibility

The COM 2000, because it emulates a Garmin SL40 via its serial port, should work fine with SkyView: * Display primary and standby frequency on the top bar * SkyView can send a standby frequency to the COM 2000 Note that while you can wire both COM 2000s to SkyView, SkyView will only interact...

    ADS-B Harness?

The SV-HARNESS-ADSB and SV-HARNESS-XPNDR ship with documentation in the package. There will be documentation of the SV-HARNESS-ADSB (and the SV-HARNESS-XPNDR) in the next revision of the SkyView System Installation Guide. Both come with the connector prewired, but there is no connector on the...

Using Garmin GPS III Pilot with D120 EMS

Sounds like you have it connected correctly - GPS TX to EMS-D120 37-pin connector Pin 19 (AUX Serial RX). Generally connecting both the EMS-D120's ground wire and the GPS ground wire is sufficient for them their grounds to be connected. Did you ensure that the speeds are set the same - 4800...

    Dynon/AFS Oshkosh 2015: SV-GPS-2020 and much more!

Apologies to all for missing our projected "Fall 2015" ship date for the SV-GPS-2020. As always with any Dynon Avionics product, we want to make it a really awesome product, and as sometimes happens, testing revealed a few things that were less than awesome and it took time (and a LOT of really...

USB Extension Panel Mount, Doesn't work?

We built two USB connectors onto the back of the SkyView display on the assumption that there would be USB devices that would be permanently connected, and now there are: * Wi-Fi adapter * Video input adapter The built-in USB cable isn't a panel mount because we didn't want to assume that every...
