How does Dynon come up with calibration coefficients

Dynon, I am trying to understand how you come up with the calibration coefficients. It looks like you are using more data than a Skyview user has available to generate the coefficients. Example: The new 150 PSIG (P255-150G-E4A) pressure transducer you have in the .SFG file the calibration...

    User Files Question

Black Box data is the relative high sample rate data; whereas, the User data is the lower speed version. the Black Box data is about 15 mins of data at 16 samples per second (sps). Used for troubleshooting a momentary issue if you save it off within 15 mins of occurrence.. The User Data is...

    Static MP Reading

Another note: for manifold pressure restrictor. I had used a brass screw in fitting on my Lycoming # 3 cyl.. Before installation, using a propane torch I filled the fitting with plumbers solder. Then drilled a #60 hole through the solder. This allowed the pressure change to be seen and...

    Static MP Reading

MAP needs to be absolute pressure. Gage pressure is for oil and fuel pressure. The physical construction of Absolute pressure sensor has a vacuum on the other side of the diaphragm. Gage pressure the diaphragm is vented to outside static pressure. If you want to use the Kalvico P4055 series...

    Seeking Alternative Manifold Pressure Sensor

The Klavico P4055 should work if it is the correct options. Part number should be P4055-30A-E-xy. x and y are the pressure connection and y is the electrical connection. Both are dependent on the builders installation preference. The key options are Absolute pressure, and 30 PSI (~2 BAR)...

Does not show battery charge current

Yes, it is possible for just that part of circuitry to fail. The alternator amp reading is using a differential amplifier circuit. It is measuring the voltage across the shunt (two inputs). This is a different circuit from the other “single ended” inputs. I think Dynon told me it could...

    Fluctuating Tacho Reading

If your prop was setting at the zero degree point it will sometimes jump between 0 and 359 degrees. when it does this it sends out a tach pulse. it is just an artifact of the position sensor resolution/ accuracy. You can replicate this when setting your timing and the LED is Yellow. Not...

Not getting Lightning Data from SV-ADSB-472 on ForeFlight

Thanks for the reply - I saw several comments that people were seeing lightning data on ForeFlight when connected to SkyView SV-ADSB-472. But I agree, SV is not passing that data via WiFi. At least not at this time.

SV D1000 Classic joystick use in turbulence

If you have a classic SV system and when in turbulence, accidently move the joystick when you wanted to just turn the knob then this modification may help you. I took some 3/16 inch Yoga mat foam and made some bushings to make it a little harder to move the joystick functions. I used a 1/2 inch...

Not getting Lightning Data from SV-ADSB-472 on ForeFlight

I am not receiving any lightning data on ForeFlight when connected to my Skyview Network (SV-D1000-T , SV-ADSB-472, WiFi) running version 15.4.7. Other posts say this is working, but I don't see it. Once I connect to my home wifi it displays perfectly. What firmware revision is the latest on...

    Software Update v16

I have a skyview 1000T w/ ADS-472 and ForeFlight. I am unable to get lightning data to display on Foreflight Tablet? It is selected. Once I land and connect to the Internet it display lightning. Never seen lightning product in flight when connected to SV WiFi. What could be wrong? Thanks, Kurt

Skyview ADS-B weather and traffic on IFD540

Any plans to add this capability? Sure would be a great feature. Also both have ethernet. Why not use that?

Skyview ADS-B weather and traffic on IFD540

Last year when I was at Oshkosh the Avidyne booth had ADS-B weather and traffic displayed on both the IFD and the Skyview. How is this done? Is it possible to use my Skview ADS-B receiver to supply weather and traffic to the IFD? Can the data move via ethernet or connect to IFD serial port?

week gps 250 signal when both Skyview Classic Sreens are on

I had the same issue with my Garmin 250XL. I fixed it by changing the coax going to the 250XL GPS antenna with RG-400. The Dynon SV D1000T was coupling noise onto the antenna cable. RG-400 has excellent shielding properties. This is one of the reasons this cable is required for IFR GPS...

ARINC-429 dropouts are still a problem that has not been addressed - or even acknowledged.

I have now been flying with the IFD540 and see the dropouts. Same as I did on the GNS430W. again only a momentary dropout where the magenta course indicator blanks out for a couple seconds. This makes me think the problem is with Skyview and/or the ARINC box. I have seen this with both the...

    Dynon and Avidyne IFD

Right now. I dont see any better integration between Skyview to Avidyne vs. Skview to Garmin. Just basic Nav data via ARINC 429. The Avidyne WiFi can be configured as a remote device on the Skyview network, so it is conceivable data can be shared between the two. But until code is written to...

    Dynon and Avidyne IFD

Dynon, When I was at Oshkosh, one of the Dynon employees mentioned you were planning some nice features that can be shared between SkyView and IFD? Any word on what/when it is planned? I have a few suggestions: Push flight plans between SkyView/IFD Tune Com / Nav radio. Share ADS-B products...

ARINC-429 dropouts are still a problem that has not been addressed - or even acknowledged.

I also am still seeing occasional ARINC dropouts with my GNS430W to Skyview Touch. Before I upgraded to Skyview I had a Sandel SN3300 EFIS. Never had a single drop in 15 years. I currently see these on occasion. They are most noticeable when on a long trip where I am on autopilot and the...

SkyView ARINC 429 dropouts from GNS430W

I have seen the momentary dropouts sine day one since skyview installation it has much improved since version 15 I think. That was when this problem was addressed by dynon. My previous panel had a Sandel SN3308. Never had any issues with that. Same Gns430w and antenna location.
