Yes, the KLN had a position solution as verified on the unit itself. It won't in fact display a flight plan unless it already knows where it is, so I'm pretty sure it was delivering the current position to the Dynon along with the waypoints in the flight plan.

Thanks for the reply (in both places :-) ) If that's the case, shouldn't "GPS ASSIST" be displayed? It was not... So another test today revealed more problems. Same as before, only this time clear of any buildings and with 8 satellites locked / 12 in view per the GPS status screen...

This would be an even better solution. A 4" display for a subset of information (in my case, engine data) would be awesome. I don't have room for another 10" or 7" display, but a 4" display would fit fine.

With Advanced Flight's recent release of software that will allow an EMS-D10/120/FlightDek180 to feed engine data to it for display on their AF5000 displays, I'm wondering if there is any such functionality planned for SkyView? My panel won't accommodate another 7" Skyview display for engine...

I see this error on a regular basis as well - perhaps once every thirty minutes; sometimes more. EFIS-D10A, AP74, Pitch+Roll Servos, and EMS-D10 are all on the DSAB. GPS is a KLN-89B connected serially (of course). Aside from the nav source lost issue, this combo works exceedingly well...

I would buy a skyview system to replace my D10A + EMSD10 setup tomorrow if the remote magnetometer was available. Without it, the upgrade path is just way too much work due to tight confines and the need to re-route pitot, static, and AOA lines.

I'm actually in the back corner of a metal hangar as well but transmitting hasn't been an issue for my project's system. By chance have you put a VSWR meter on your comm antenna from the point where it connects to the radio?

Thanks, but when I do this nothing happens - I've held it down for over a minute (timed) with no activity on the display. When I release the button - no matter how long I have held it down for - it cycles to the HSI (or back to the EFIS if the HSI was being displayed).
