    Autopilot certification PA-24

There are almost certainly 10x the number of PA28 variants flying than PA24. Lets call a spade a spade. Its a current production airplane vs. one that production ended 50 years ago. I would love if the PA24/30/39 got the love first, but from a financial standpoint, especially with the number of...

    New D30

It does looks nice, hopefully they follow on with implementing features to make it competitive with G and UAv brands rather than just a "dumb" flight instrument. We've been waiting for a follow on to the D10a for a long time, and other than it being a better looking backup for the Skyview...

    Certified Capacitance fuel level sender

Electronics International makes the same tech senders as CIES for less than half the price. They're certified for use with their engine monitors, but we got them field approved with a JPI on a Cardinal, and getting that done with a Skyview should be doable.

Intermittent systems failures in ADAHRS, EMS, GPS...

With that kind of failure, makes me wonder about the installer. Check the Hub and network cable connections first I'd think.

    Skyview WiFi intermittent no communication.

Yep, my Skyview Classic dual 10" customer has the same problem.

    An improvement!

And somehow Garmin does it in 1/10th the time. Must be nice to be able to throw money at the problem.

Skyview not talking back to SL30

Thank you @Speeddog8, I did eventually find it, and when the airplane was in for the oil change we got that little issue resolved. Thank goodness now all works as expected. We went out and tested the autopilot tracking heading to intercept LOC and it all worked beautifully.

Skyview not talking back to SL30

Not a touch screen, just standard old SV 10" screens. If you look at about :40 in the video, I click the knob to show there is not even greyed out CRS option to select. I feel like this has to be a setting buried somewhere else in the SV settings, but I don't have the airplane here to mess...

    Seattle Avionics .....normal monthly frustration....

What kind of Mac are you running. I have a a couple of Intel I7 Macbook Pro's. Instead of running an emulation software, I run a dual boot setup. I find that it is a much smoother process overall. Turn off automatic updates on everything so you can take control of when Windows updates. I have a...

Skyview not talking back to SL30

The Skyview is not sending ANY data to the SL30 at all, it appears to me to not even attempting to send anything. I cannot figure out why. Here is a video on FB with the configuration and the issue.

HDX showing bearing to VOR, but no HSI displayed

It looks like you are not displaying HSI at all. I don't know how thats possible, but the Green frequencies and Ident in the second picture seem to indicate that communication is happening fine. I'm getting very little help on the problem I'm having with the SL30 on my customer's RV7. See this...

Skyview not talking back to SL30

Ok, if thats is the case, why is there no option for a CRS selection on the Skyview displays? Everything else works except for that. Dual 10" Skyview classics. Edit: I've concluded that this isn't the case, because you are supposed to be able to load frequencies into the Nav 1 through the...

    Tolsen Grip ground wire

While I understand that the PMA7000B is a current product, it was specifically designed to be compatable with the King KMA24. That audio panel traces its linage back into the late 1970's. The PMA8000 series is pin compatible with the GMA340, which was late 90's. The standard has been floating...

    Tolsen Grip ground wire

The industry has moved on from using shields for the audio low ground. Nobody does that anymore, not Garmin, PS Engineering, Avidyne... nobody. Dynon's wiring does not live up to current industry standards either. Like them not shielding their RS-232 channels, and the extra "optional" ground...

    Tolsen Grip ground wire

Not to beat a dead horse, but shielding won't do anything. Like you said, it's not carrying audio signal. It IS running to either the intercom or the audio panel, and adding a second ground location to that is what you want to avoid. Evidence of that if you look at PS Engineering's installation...

    Tolsen Grip ground wire

The PTT is, and since all of them use a common ground wire, put it where all the audio grounds and that eliminates any chance of an audio ground loop.

Skyview not talking back to SL30

Hi guys, I put an SL30/GPS175 combo into an existing Skyview installation for a customer. For the life of me, I cannot get Skyview to talk to the SL30. The SL30 talks to SV with no issue. I have CDI and Bearing Pointer options nav frequencies and all. The problem is, I have no CRS option to...

    Tolsen Grip ground wire

Generally its accepted that grounding to where all the audio grounds terminate will result in the fewest problems. In most cases this is the back of the Audio Panel, but the GPS175 has a fat aluminum ground bus built into the connector shell, I used that on the the RV7a I upgraded for all the...

GI 275 Standby Flight Display ?

I'm not sure the FAA would even accept this if tried to subsitute via field approval. I think due to the nature of the approval basis of the Dynon, no substitutions are allowed. That said, I THINK (educated guess here) that Dynon is working on a new generation of "Standby" intrument to replace...

    Autopilot certification PA-24

I'm in line for a '62 Comanche 250 when I can sell some of the other planes. This should be my forever bird, so I hope at some point it makes the list. That said, the early 35 Bonanza guys are still waiting years later, so I'd buy the Trio if you really want something that works for now.
