I had the same issue where it would try to load the data from the usb but just fail and fail. Emailed them and they said it could just be the usb. Pulled out a different one and it solved the issues.

Hello all, I just installed my HDX and am having trouble updating the NA high res basemap. It stalls out between 20-27% and either fails or I have to power everything off including disconnecting the battery to get it to power cycle. Anybody else have this issue?
