I want to interface my GNC-250XL to D-180 for HSI and other new features, will there be and wiring changes necessary. I will start install after I get the screen update is completed and returned.

See the latest installation manuals here for instructions on how to connect up a GPS to your Dynon products. Note that the firmware to enable this functionality is yet to be released.

The new firmware has been released. It's a bit late, but it is very well tested!
