Hi,

I am about to install the Skyview on my airplane and I am playing with all my system on my desk in order to understand better what to do. I found out that putting the ADAHRS facing front as specified on the manual the heading is correct but rolling it left or right and pitching it up or down it gives opposite information to the PFD. Is there any setting I am missing? Thanks

You're likely just thinking about it wrong. It feels very strange to only move the AHRS and not the screen. When you tilt the AHRS down (diving the plane), the screen moves *UP* because that way it's showing you below the horizon. Same with roll.

If you're convinced, take a picture and post it with the AHRS pitched and rolled.

And this is the roll with the AHRS set opposite to the front and in fact the heading is approximately 180 degrees wrong

You photos aren't loading for some reason, but the correct orientation of the ADAHRS is with the tabs facing down, and the pneumatic connectors facing forward. Is that the direction you have things?

This last pic shows the ADAHRS orientated to what it should be when mounted ie the 3 ports should be facing the front of the SV. ;)

Like Jake said. You have it oriented backward. The network connection should be facing aft per installation instructions.

Not sure the OP does have it backwards.

Per the installation manual, the pitot/static/aoa ports are to face forward (toward the front of the aircraft).  Naturally, the display faces aft (toward the rear of the aircraft) so that the pilot looks directly at it when faced forward.  So let's agree that the screen is supposed to face aft, and the pressure ports on the ADAHRS are supposed to face forward.

In Reply #9 above, attitude is showing as correct, however the pressure ports are facing aft - opposite of how the ADAHRS is supposed to be installed.  So why is attitude showing correctly in the photo if the ADAHRS is backwards?

So that is indeed bizarre, and none of us here have a good explanation. What's the serial number of that ADAHRS? and is it a -200 or -201? We want to check whether there's anything revealing in the calibration data we have here. Regardless, we'll probably need to have that back here.

Hi,

I gave it back to the customer since we are the Company that was supposed to install it. It is a 200 version but I don't have the S/N right now. He was about to send it back to the italian dealer since he bought it from them.

Thanks.
