Planning out some sparkly new avionics for my trusty stock 1965 Skylane. Does ADS-B traffic show on the Skyview moving map or do I need another device (iPad, navigator) to show it? If not, is this a feature Dynon has planned in the future? Thanks!

It is displayed on the map and optionally on the PFD via the SV-ADSB-472 ADS-B IN DUAL CHANNEL RECEIVER. The WiFi dongle will allow viewing of traffic and WX on compatible portable devices/apps.

I loaded my 1962 182E with two Dynon Skyviews and have about two months of flying it so far. I love it!!! It’s never been easier to see and avoid traffic it shows up on the map as well at the PFD in very useful ways. Finally I feel like I can fly with precision and not have to constantly adjust for lagging instruments.

I have been flying for the past year plus a Dynon HDX plus the SV 472 and it has worked great. The last couple of flights I have had an issue where the ADS-B in has disconnected a few times in flight. It is normally not long but it is disconnecting and showing me no traffic where I know there is some. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yes, I have, and others too. Was supposed to be fixed and/or improved in the latest firmware update. I haven't flown enough with the update to know for sure.
Thanks for the feedback. I have flown a lot since the firmware update and this is a recent problem that only happened in the last couple of days...hope it is not a sign of something worse.

Were you in a radar service area? If not, you'd only pick up traffic that is transmitting plane to plane via 1090 and antenna placement might result in blocked signals.

Definitely yes, I was in and under two overlapping class Charlie airspaces...the traffic was there one second and blank screen the next.

I have been experiencing the same issue. I have sent multiple data logs to Dynon with no resolution. The latest response from them has been that it is third party supplier of a part in the 470 that is the issue. I fly in some of the most congested air space in the US around Phoenix, AZ with the largest flight schools in the country. Dynon please address this issue...!
