Calibration of fuel quantity and trim settings

If you notice on the screenshot, my fuel level and trim are "greyed out". Does this mean the wires are not connected, or only that they have not been calibrated?

Don,

Looks like the fuel sensor has not yet been configured via setup. It knows it needs calibration so I suspect you have not yet set the color ranges (e.g. 0-4 red, 4-8 yellow, etc.). Likely the same for trim, which reads, if I recall, 0-5 volts, depending on trim setting.

As Rays says - both the "CAL?" and the lack of indication on the trim widget means that they haven't been calibrated / configured. If they were, but sensors were disconnected, you'd get either a "red x" over the sensor, or the sensor will be all the way at one end of its reading (depending on the exact sensor).

I'm not trying to be harsh, but you seem to want to jump to complicated explanations for things...instead of the simple things first.

From the Installation Manual (you did check there, didn't you?)

After installation, prior to use, fuel level sensors must be calibrated before they can display accurate fuel levels. Until you have performed a fuel level calibration, the fuel level sensor widget will not display fuel levels, and will display CAL ?
