Can we get a dark color scheme for night flight?

Even with the display set to the dimmest value, it's still distractingly bright at night. There's the bright blue and tan of synthetic vision and the really bright yellow/red of the vector map. I assume the LED backlights can't be dimmed more so the alternative is an optional dark color scheme we can switch to that uses much darker colors for synthetic vision and vector maps.

It's a very simple change to make and would help night flight a lot in my opinion.

SkyView's displays go dimmer than the industry standard used in Transport aircraft, which is 0.4 nits. We can go down to 0.2 nits, which is incredibly dim. You should only just be able to see this in a dark room. This is 1/5000th of full brightness.

Something might be up with your light sensor if you can't go dim enough. Put a piece of electrical tape over the light sensor (between buttons 4&5) and go into the setup menu and brightness setup, and what is your light sensor value?

Also, are you using the external dimming option?

So I did experimenting tonight. I think there is a problem but also I had my setup slightly wrong.

I am using an external dimmer. Originally I had 0V configured to be 25% brightness; I corrected this and now it is able to go to the true minimum brightness when the dimmer is 0V.

The problem is that at 25% brightness or above, the ambient sensor is totally ignored and the brightness percentage is of true full brightness and not ambient-relative brightness. This means that with a piece of electrical tape over the light sensor, an extremely rapid change in brightness occurs when moving the dimmer from 0V to the 25% brightness voltage, so to compensate I set the 25% target to 8V (with full being only 12V) and it's still too rapid a rise from 0.2 nits to what is probably a couple hundred nits with a very short nudge of the dimmer.

Can you please change it so external dimmer brightness percentage is relative to the internal sensor's value and not true full brightness?

I imagine you have a reason for using an external dimmer but the one built-in works very well and keeps it simple (KIS).
