Clicking noise when monitoring two frequencies.

I don't usually monitor both frequencies but yesterday I turned on the dual monitoring and noticed that I have rapid clicks approx. 2-3 per second. This happens with or without the engine running.
Any suggestions on what to check?

Strobes were off when I tested it without the engine running. I'm using the Dynon com package.

That clicking is by design so you know that the alternate frequency is receiving a transmission. It is a bit annoying when listening to ATIS when it is constantly transmitting.

As Ray says, this is a side effect of the way our radio (and others on the market) tune two frequencies. It's "by design" and there's nothing you can do to eliminate it.

I've noticed the same thing, but only quite recently. I was putting it down to interference from other kit I have installed. I never used to hear it. Dynon, are you sure it's not as a result of a software upgrade on the radio?
