Comm Volume too low

I have HDx system with 2 x SV-COM-X25 radios. I am using Bose noise canceling headsets. With volume on Headsets on high and Com radio on high, still not enough volume for me.

In cruise conditions it is barely passible but in full power conditions it is not loud enough. Missed approached into Asheville the other day and I could not hear the tower during full power climb out.

Are there any adjustments I can try or is it possible to send back to Dynon for a modification? All features of the radios work fine (Bought wire harness from Stein) so I do not think there are any wiring issues.

This is in 4 place RV10 so I am using PS Engineering PDA360EX audio panel. (I do not think the Audio panel plays a role in this...?)

I really am enjoying the functionality of these radios, big fan of the nrst airport function for tunng.

Thx for the help

I had this exact issue and it turned out to be a very slight short to the earth wire in the audio wire from the radio to the intercom. I purchased the wiring harness from Aircraft Spruce thinking it wouldn't be anything to do with the wiring - It took me forever to work it out.

Had/have the same Issue, see thread

No real change, just got accustomed to the noise level, if approaching an airfield and needing to communicate better, I lower power, I have found a somewhat sweet spot power setting that helps.
Had Bose AviationX, change to A20s and incrementally better.
I found that it is not necessarily LOUDER, but it is CLEARER if I do not have the volume knob on the comm all the way up.
The radio does seem to need more output, but perhaps it is just an issue with the PS engineering systems? My aircraft IS very loud, I recently added a IFD440 and its comm radio is easier to hear and is now my primary radio..

I’ve noticed that when I use the Dynon Com, I have to set the volume lower than I want it to be in order for there to be sufficient clarity. Is this the same problem others are having? I’m using a Garmin Audio Panel and a Bose A20 headset.
