Please forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere.

I want to create flight plans on my home computer, save to a thumb drive and upload into SkyView.

What is the easiest way to do that? I use Voyager (Seattle Avionics - located in the same building as Dynon!) but the flight plans to not export in the same format.

Is there another computer program that will (more) easily create my desired flight plan and save in the SkyView program?

I use fltplan.com. It works great. Plan flights at home, export to gpx format onto a flash drive and load into Skyview.

Even easier, I use FltPlan Go, their companion mobile app. I use it on an android device but there's also an IOS app. I download the flight plans onto into FltPlan Go at home and it connects to Skyview via WiFi and will upload the flight plan directly into Skyview. You do need Dynon's WiFi adapter for this to work.

Thank you - I will check it out. I still think it is silly that Voyager - whose company is in the SAME building as Dynon - does not allow you to create a f.p. that is compatible.

Sky Demon is great software for flying VFR in Europe and can be connected via wifi with the Skyview system.

+1 for fltplan.com.

I create my flight plan at home and it automatically downloads it to my Android tablet. When ready to fly, I file from either the web page or the FltPlanGo tablet app. When I am at the airplane I send the flight plan from the tablet to SkyView via WIFI.

I also have a free account with FlightAware set up to send me a text alert when my airplane has a flight plan on file. So, a few minutes after I file via FltPlanGo, I get a text from FlightAware saying the FAA has my flight plan on file. That way if I don't get the text before I taxi, I know something did not go as expected. Works great for me.

I actually like using the standard FSS site (www.1800wxbrief.com) for my weather briefing and filing the flight plan. The EasyOpen & EasyClose capabilities are really nice. I get a text and/or email (my choice) 30 minutes prior to departure and 30 minutes prior to ETA that contain links that I can use to open and close my flight plan with just one click.

I just do a Copy & Paste of my route from FltPlan.com into the FSS site. Easy ...

Not quite correct as I understand it. All you can do with Skydemon is transfer a Flightplan to the Skyview. No Skydemon data or anything else is available. I have talked and talked with the Skydemon guys about this to no avail. :(
