From the information on the web site it appears that the MGL V6 radio will communicate with a Garmin portable GPS device similar to the iCOM A210 and Garmin SL30/40 radios.
SL30 and SL40 communications compatible with MGL extentions to enable full remote control of entire transceiver with status feedback
If you connect the MGL V6 to your Garmin GPS device then:

If your are near an airport or have a flight plan or DTO on the Garmin GPS it will sent the frequencies for the airport to the radio.

If you select a frequency on the Garmin GPS device and press ENTER, it will send the frequency to the radio.
The benefit is that you can select frequencies from the GPS airport database rather than looking them up and dialing them into the radio. It also looks like the radio can be remotely controlled by other MGL devices. Fully G1000 automated so to say.
I suspect that the rumored Dynon radio will have similar features so that you can use the frequencies from the Skyview airport database.
