Hi
I have tried to update the firmware in my Dynon D1000 Flight Design (SV--D1000/2513 and SV-D1000/2543) CTLS but get the ASAHRS fail, EMS fail on both screens. Initially the RH screen was normal but rebooting resulted in the above. I suspect the two screens have two different versions of the firmware. I cannot get the RH screen to go to setup by holding down buttons 7 and 8. Is  this normal?
Is the updated firmware supposed to populate both screens from the same input?

No. When updating firmware, you must update each screen individually. Map updates, on the other hand, will work from one screen - assuming proper connectivity.

Do buttons 7 and 8 work for their respective options when pressed individually?

Both displays do need to be updated separately and must be running the same version of software for your system to work properly. Also note that Flight Design aircraft are supposed to be updated using the software packages they distribute. Give our support team a call at 425-402-0433 or support at dynonavionics dot com if you need more help with this issue.

I cannot update the screens separately. Buttons 7 and 8 do nothing on the right screen. The whole package works on the left screen with all the EMS etc compressed on to that screen. I have tried disconnecting the LHS electrically and then sometimes I get a result from 7 and 8. But as it starts to load, it comes up with "Must be duc file with password" and stops.
The files I have are:
The files I have are:

B_update_6.2_to_11.1_GNC255_GTX330-CTLS.duc

Skyview-15.1.0.4329-dynon_update_HDX1100.dup

Skyview-15.1.0.4329-dynon_update_classic.dup

Getting nowhere on this one. I am in Australia but it sounds like a good idea to get telephone hookup whilst in front of the Dynons. Coming to Oshkosh and after that Seattle. Could bring the displays.
