I've got an EFIS D10A, EMS D10, and HS34.  4 cht, 4 egt, MAP, Red Cube transducer, oil pressure, oil temp, carb heat...

The 3 Dynon units are on a DSAB bus that's been working ok for the 20-ish hours since the setup started flying - plus loads of stupid test time.  They are each powered on their own fused circuits.

During a flight this evening, my EMS went out shortly after takeoff.  The EFIS was complaining about a DSAB error - presumably because the EMS dropped out of the DSAB network since it was off.  I was expecting a blown fuse, a loose wire, a short, or something to that effect.  Anyway, after I landed and shut down, I powered up my master and everything (including the EMS) came online.  I didn't try cycling the master in flight or bringing the EMS back online.

Just wondering where I should start my search for the most likely causes for this situation.

As you suspect, the DSAB error is just the EFIS not seeing the EMS. That part is expected.

First place to look here is all of the connections - particularly - is there power or other connection that might be intermittent?
