Hard to tell if ADS-B traffic is above or below

I discovered when transitioning over a busy airport that it can be almost impossible to tell the difference between + and - on a busy screen, so e.g. traffic listed as "-04" looks virtually identical to traffic listed as "+04". Can you please modify it so there is a more obvious indicator?

Coloring the numbers differently is one way, or you can use an underline or overline (so traffic above you is underlined so it looks like 04 and traffic below you has the line above it). Or really the simplest method is probably to put a solid background behind the +02 and have it be black text on white background for traffic above, and white text on black background for traffic below.

Really anything like that would be good. Right now it's not very safe.

I have also complained about this in the past and suggested the font size be adjustable, but not sure if Dynon thinks this is needed. My problem is that my screen is just far enough away that the "+" "-" are not easily read. I like the idea of of some sort of differentiation even better than font size that can be determined at a glance. This would be extremely helpful and I would ask Dynon to really think about this!

Ive never had that specific issue with + or -. Looks like Garmin does the same. I think most every Ipad app, too.

My issue is with clutter and the sizing of icons. One possible solution would be for the airplane icon to scale with the zoom level, instead of the icon always being the same size.

Currently, if you zoom out to 100nm, let's say, the airplane icon is probably 5nm in size on the display. It looks like you will hit until you realize you have 5nm of separation.

You might consider changing your settings to filter out some of the traffic. You can set it to only show TA (traffic advisory).

OK, the original post was regarding being able to read traffic altitude differential not clutter. Can we stay on the original topic and can Dynon tech address any potential future ability to differentiate + or - ?

To quote the original post:

Not to bicker but I read "busy screen" as clutter. The option available that I proposed would, I think, help for that purpose.
