Jabiru 6 Cylinder Motor -  Mags and RPM

When i test my mags the RPM goes to zero with the one mag and with the other mag the RPM shows correctly.

Could you plese explain how i can fix this?

Our recommended RPM pickup in a Jabiru is an alternator wire. This would be totally unaffected by your mag check.

Sounds like the RPM was installed using the mag P-lead output rather than the alternator. In this case, you must hook up two RPM wires, one to each mag, so that the RPM doesn't drop out when checking your mags.

Which wires to use and how to attach them is covered in your install manual.

IMO the most reliable method is via 1 Alternator wire as per install manual however I also add a 100 kOhm resistor (not in manual ;) to 'stabilise' rpm.
