System is D180, AP74, one SV32 on the DSAB.
RV-9A in my garage. Everything communicating 100% up until Saturday, when 'beep beep' - enough to make me look up. EDC10A comm error, loss of compass, loss of oat. Powering off the D180 did not resolve. DSAB is up and running fine (not expecting to be a factor). I did the D3 EDC bulletin (I was in the range) months ago.
Searching (5 min) did not find me a direct answer in the forum.
1. I will try to disconnect the EDC while the D180 is up and running, to see if there is some hot boot (?) thing going on. At the same time I will carefully check power and ground to the EDC.
Any other thoughts?
2. I will upload 5.4. I'm at 5.3 right now. I'n not expecting this to help, since all elements were functional at 5.3 for months.
Info question: The EDC cable is shielded. Does my Dynon-supplied harness have the shielding grounded in the D180 connector? I added a shield ground at the EDC and think that may be not required/not desired.
Thanks, Rick
