Manifold pressure sensor - which side of firewall?

Regarding 100434-000 MAP sensor (Rotax 912 ULS installation), is the sensor sufficiently robust to be mounted on the engine side of the firewall?

This was discussed several years ago (and builders said yes, FWF is OK), but I was wondering if this opinion had changed.

Opinion hasn't changed as these units are same as used in automobiles

60-odd hours FWF in my RV-9 with no problems with the MAP indication.

145 hours in my RV-9A FWF with no problems.

The MAP sensor is designed to be FWF. We have planes with thousands of hours FWF with no problems.

On my RV-7A, I opted to keep plastic things off the firewall and used adel clamps to mount it to the engine mount tubing. This also made wire routing easier.

Whatever works for you is fine, just because it's so called 'plastic' (probably a more higher spec product than ordinary plastic, which is implied) doesn't mean it will have issues & worse off due temperature. If there is an event causing it to melt then you could have a more serious problem to worry about than the Map Sensor p
Having the sensor on firewall, or mount tubes, is a good option IMO as it is easier to access for troubleshooting or replacement.
