Is it possible to create a user defined area on the SV map? I can create a flight plan with 4 corners of my Phase I test flight area, but was wondering if there is a better way to do it?

Thanks!

P.S.

Kudos to the whole Dynon team...the SV system has an amazing amount of capability and well thought features for all types of fliers. Impressive in my mind...

Hey I like that idea as well. I have an irregular and confusing Phase 1 and that would be a great help to me also.

During my Phase 1, I used SkyVector to create a flight plan on the computer, exported it to email and pulled it into ForeFlight, which I then imported into Skyview. Probably just as easy to build the route in ForeFlight, though.

While flying the route, I tuned the autopilot.

It isn't possible for a user to create lines or boxes on SkyView. You can however create user waypoints that you could use to define the corners of the box.

Thanks all for the replies..kind of what I was figuring... I created user defined WPs to mark the corners.

Ray, why not just use the Map / flt plan feature of the Dynon GPS navigator to create your flight plan?

I stand at a computer (versus sitting) all day and find it much easier to plan a route via online tools than to try and figure out the best route on the Skyview (distance, fuel burn, etc). Importing to Skyview is very easy with the WiFi dongles on each screen.
