Oil/fuel pressure alarms NOT alerting on shutdown

I've gotten so used to the audible "Oil Pressure" "Fuel Pressure" alerts on shutting down the engine that it was jarring tonight when they did NOT come on.

Is this new in V12?  The oil pressure was definitely in the red (1 psi) after shutdown, SV was still on, but no alarm for either it or the fuel pressure.

These are two alarms I *definitely* want working :) through an entire flight.  EGTs, CHTs, meh...I can see them if they're getting out of whack.  Oil and fuel are *required* for safe flight...

Re: Oil/fuel pressure alarms on shutdown

Funny, just the other day, those audible warnings came on for me the other day at shutdown.

I flew for the first time in a long time. Thus, i deviated from my normal shutdown procedure. I left the avionics master on and heard all the EMS warnings on V12. Normally, i shutdown avionics master before shutdown, so i never heard those audible warnings before.

Re: Oil/fuel pressure alarms on shutdown

OK, I can confirm this behavior...I have no avionics master, so power stays on until the Master is off (then it goes to backup and asks if I want it to stay on, which is expected behavior). No audible alert for oil pressure or fuel pressure (but others are certainly there...switch fuel tanks, check altimeter setting, etc.).

I checked that engine audible alerts are definitely enabled.

I did switch to the new Kavlico sensors at annual, and they're working just fine (showing rock-solid values for both oil and fuel pressure), and changed the configuration as appropriate to use those sensors.

Dynon support, any ideas here?

I don't think we changed anything here. I'm checking with the team for anything that I might be overlooking. Do you have one or two screens? Do you hear audible annunciations at other times (such as the one that happens at boot up and others you may encounter throughout flight?)

AHA! I should have thought of this...went into the setup menus...something about changing the sensor types must have twiddled a bit or two...both sensor setups had the Alarms *OFF*. A simple change to set them as Self-Clearing and we're good to go.

Don't know what caused that change, but while I was there, I double-checked *all* sensor alarm settings, anyway...

Just FYI :) I should have thought of this and checked it earlier, but since it was working before now...well, never ASSume anything, right? :)
