Sweet! I'm guessing RV-8? Just curious about the iPad. Do you prefer Fly-Q over the panel-mounted GPS? Is it because of usability, larger map, etc? Very nice!

Not an -8, they are tandem seating. Likely a -7 or -6 (older version of the -7). I'd guess the iPad is used for IFR charts and loading the flight plan into the Skyview.

The first panel is mine, Yes an RV-6. I use the ipad for a lot. I now have a mini in the same location. the full sized ipad was a bit too big. I flight plan with it, airport info, charts, and yes IFR approaches, etc, etc.
