Radio interference

Hi when I flew today RV12 rotax powered I was getting the squelch opening on the radio I tried adjusting it out but couldn't It transmits and receives ok
I tried turning off each magneto, GPS , strobe etc but no difference but when I shut down the skyview the squelch cleared It also does it whilst running on its own battery
any clues

The typical fix I've read here is to run a dedicated ground between the radio and Skyview screen.

no It has been good for the last 8 years
I will check for a ground between radio and panel

Hi all I installed the filters that fit between the d sub cables and the skyview and now is all good
still dont know why it was good for 8 years and only started getting interference now

...it’s those invisible electron critters again .
seriously though sometimes just moving a cable or using a shielded one can make all the difference - learned from past experience.
