Ray Allen flap position sensor

I have installed a Ray Allen flap position potentiometer according to the manual page 7-66, but when I move the flaps the widget on the screen doesn't change.  I have calibrated the flaps from the Hardware Calibration > EMS Calibration screen and this appears to work. 
When I view the sensor data from the "Sensor Debug Data" menu the RAW and CAL(v) values change when I move the flaps, but the VALUE column remains 0.0000.
Could someone please help me with what I'm missing?

I'd start by confirming you have +5V on the position sensor white/orange wire and a good ground on the white/blue wire. Moving the sensor should result in a variable output on the white/green wire.
