Question for Dynon and other users. Has anyone experienced an electrical or mechanical failure of the shunt? looks ok but just thought i'd ask.

I'm asking because I'm wiring up a Rotax 912 iS which has "refined" electrical requirements. If I use the shunt in position A, then if the shunt broke i'd still have power except maybe not to start the engine.

I think the most common failure we've seen on the shunt - and they're rare - are physically cracked bases, either from a drop or over-tightening.
