I had this error as well when I installed SV 4.0. It turned out one of my network cables was wired incorrectly. Previous versions of SV did not make a fuss with network errors, now they're reported to the user. Go into your network status and see which module is giving problems, then check the cable to that device and see if you can locate the issue.

yes, it works because the primary connection is working. It is the backup (pin 4 & 8) this is not

Hello, I have updated all goes well today, but this is written .... Help me

If the problem you're asking for help with is the Fuel Pressure and Oil Pressure Low messages...

Please go to SETUP > EMS SETUP > SENSOR INPUT MAPPING

You'll probably see the fuel pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor missing some information. Correct those and the error indications should be corrected.

As for the STANDBY NETWORK ERROR...

Go to SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > NETWORK SETUP > NETWORK STATUS and it will indicate where the system THINKS the error in the standby network is occurring. The most recent version of the SkyView System Installation Guide, released in conjunction with SkyView Firmware v4.0 provides some troubleshooting help with these error indications.

I have a single D1000 which had 3.3 installed and everything was working. I installed 4.0 and then the 4.0 data update and the 4.0 Obs update. After installing I am now getting an "AP Servo" warning and the AP will not engage in roll or Alt. Also the map presentation looks exactly like it did before with no roads or rivers etc. Also my CHT temps are now indicating about 10 to 30 degrees warmer then they did with the old sensor definitions installed. I have a USB with the old 3.3 on it. Is it possible to reinstall 3.3 and the 3.3 data and OBS files and I will update to 4.0 again when I have time to troubleshoot the problem. :-?

Yesterday I flew with 4.0 and an updated base map; wow! Very nice. I flew last week with 4.0 and wondered where my roads were. I like how the railroads stay displayed when zooming out.

Good job!

Thanks, I'll install the NA base map fie and see if that fixes the map but I think I have a network problem also since the AP will not engage and I get a servo warning.  I used Dynon's wiring harness and the AP worked with 3.3 just fine.  I think it has something to do with the network checking that the system does now. :)

We literally don't know of a single case where updating to 3.3 caused something to stop working. The 4.0 network stuff adds redundancy, but if it worked before, you had at least one pair of wires hooked up.

Go to the network status page (with the servos powered on) and see what it tells you. It's pretty descriptive about why it can't talk to the servo(s). Did you have the servos on when you did the 4.0 upgrade? If not, they are still on 3.3 and the status page will have an "update" button.

Hi

I am using Skyview succesfully for a few months and it was all working fine. Since the 4.0 uodate it still works fine but get a lot of redundancy network errors and even failures of AP.
The errors come and go and disappear after half an hour or so and all is working well without alarms for the remaining flight..
Seems like the window for error count is a bit small.
Any clues ?

A question for Canadians. Been flying with skyview and love it for over a year. I did buy the JEPP data for Canada and its expired but works great. With 4.0 ALL info is gone. Still shows the biggies, but all the smaller airports, the airspace dimensions etc....gone

Did I miss something or how can i get my Jepp or new Canadian data back. REALLY miss it. Also, seem to be getting some clicks back int he headset now, and yes i have the filters and they have been working great. Help appreciated.

Ref:  Post # 88.  Thanks Dynon:  I just uploaded the North American Base map and that corrected the Map display  I also went to network config and after the detect cycle it said the firmware on the servos was out of date.  I had assumed the 4.0 update automatically updated the servo firmware but it didn't so it updated the servos as it requested.  I did not fly to test yet but it engaged on the ground so looks good. I did not know to turn on the servos when updating firmware. Now I know. :)

Have a question on my Oil Pressure display. It does not go to "0" PSI when the engine is shut down. It reads between 6 & 7 PSI when at rest whenever the display is powered up. I am using Dynon's sensor and I think the DFG file is dated Sep 2011. I did not update the file because I have customized the engine displays arcs and I was not sure if that will change the display back to factory settings. Is there a way to set the parameters to read "O" as I do not believe there is pressure trapped in the line after 24 hours of shutdown. ::)

I'm using the PocketFMS for Canadian av data and it has a set of files for 3.0 and one for 4.0 so I suspect there has been a change in the format of the files. See reply #66 above.

Also, you want it 1068E6FF. Just changing the 58 to 68 will only increase the green in the color, which will make it a different color, not a different brightness. Making something lighter without fundamentally changing the color requires you to move all the colors up together.

for dynonsupport:

I changed my color2 for airspace_class_b from 0058D6FF to 1068E6FF and reimported it. The map page is now all black and nothing shows.

airspace_class_b={
color0=004AB4FF
color1=004AB47F
color2=1068E6FF
width0=2
width1=4
cycle=0
fraction=0
outline=0
style=MAP_BLING_DRAW_STYLE_SOLID_FADE

Did I do something wrong or is 1068E6FF the wrong code? I attached my revised settings file.

Hotscam - You might check the network status page under the setup when you're seeing the redundancy error to see exactly where the system thinks it is. From there, you can at least find a particular run of wiring to check out. Beyond that, you might try getting in touch with our tech support directly so they can help you through the issue.

rickw - Because the map changed significantly in 4.0, we did change the zoom levels the various objects show up at under MAP > MAP MENU > MAP ITEMS. I wonder if that's what you're seeing (some things now being decluttered at the zoom level you happened to be looking at). Beyond that, the data that is available now should be the same as it was previously.

Edwardoc - You can't zero it out, and I can't easily check in the next few moments whether that sensor profile changed. I don't think we've changed any of the profiles either (to check this: export your settings; the .sfg file is your sensor file. Download our latest. Crack them both open, compare the relevant entries). If you're using the legacy non-Kavlico mechanical sensors, their physical resistor/wiper mechanisms sometimes get sticky, and this is one of the results. This is one of the few reasons we moved away from those sensors.

OK will do. The sensor is the Dynon 100411-002 0-150 PSI sensor and I assume that is the mechanical sensor you refer to. :)

rvator51 - loaded your map defaults, and it didn't break anything on a display here. If you're seeing a "?" flashing where the airplane icon is, that means you're not getting a GPS signal. Is that it possibly?

All - I'm closing this thread, as lots of different conversations are getting spliced in here, making it hard to track a particular topic. If you have a follow-up on an existing question, just start a new thread for it.
