Skyview ADHARS-200 failure

My plane has been flying since 2014 and has 300hours. Coming from the Bahamas, my AP dropped out and airspeed reading went to 511. Attitude data became erratic. Upon landing, tech support felt the ADHARS-200 was bad and sent me a refurbished unit overnight. problem solved. Is 300 hours a reasonable lifespan from the unit? I've not had any overvoltage conditions or other electrical stressors I can find. If 300hrs is reasonable, a backup ADHARS-201 may be necessary even if it is VFR only. From what I gather, I am to send my old unit in and it gets treated as an out of warranty repair.

No, it's not. Mine is 2011 and ~800 hours.

I'm returning my second ADAHRS in only 3 weeks.

I bought a plane that sat for a couple of years because the builder died, so everything was about 3 years out of date.  Flew ok for ~20 hrs on the original ADAHRS, but airspeed was erratic - so I sent it in.  They did spend a heroic amount of effort attempting to revive it, but finally tossed in the towel and sent me a brand new one.  That one lasted exactly 1.9 flights and 2 hrs - I got the big red X in flight and so landed ASAP.

I'm sending the new one back in, but am looking for any advice I can get to test the Dynon Network connection, if only to rule it out as a cause.  If you have any kind of checklist to test the connection, please contact me.

I've also ordered a backup ADAHRS and supporting hardware.  It was quite disconcerting to have all of my flight instruments suddenly inop, and although my landing was fine it was a bit uncomfortable not to have the normal airspeed and altitude to back up the old Mark I eyeball for landing.

On the flip side, I've got a lot of experience with Dynon equipment and have no doubt they will get this right for me!

My RV-7A is VFR only but I have dual AD-AHRS with plans for IFR capability when the funds become available.

I have enjoyed the Skyview system, but I can see the safety in having 2 different brands of systems for redundancy. The 300hr failure has me concerned.

Also, I thought the failure mode was to use GPS data as a backup in the unit, but I had persistent overspeed warnings and faulty IAS of 511mph and wacky AI for an hour. Apparently the unit didn't recognize the faulty infor. (I assume)
