How about offering printed versions of SkyView documentation for purchase. It could be done via an authorized seller for those of us that can't print a 500+ page document. Printing many copies at once reduces individual cost per copy.

I have printed it on my home printer but you can also send it to Kinko or UPS to print and they can do a nice job of binding it.

I find that having a printed version while wiring is very useful for making notes that can later assist with creation of a schematic.

We used to print and ship manuals with every display, but we received a lot of complaints about wasting paper. Almost everyone told us that preferred it on the USB stick, so they can easily put it on their shop computer or tablet. And so they could print sections, particularly wiring diagrams, as wanted and needed.

Having it printed locally at Kinkos is lower cost than if we printed, sold, and shipped them, even with an outside service. We investigated that a while back to see if such a service was economical.

If you really have a problem with printing, you can contact our tech support folks.

I will check with Kinkos since Office Depot quoted $175.00 for 1 color copy.

From the web (note that the SV Classic/Touch Pilots User Guide is 249 pages):

"How much does it cost to print at Kinkos?

Black and white copies are $0.08 per side so a 300 page B&W copy on standard 28# white bond paper would be $24.00 plus tax. Double sided would be twice that. Color copies are $0.89 per side so 300 pages single sided on #28 white paper would be $267.00 plus tax. Double sided would be $534.00."

The SkyView Classic 15.2 installation manual is a HUGE 573 page document.

Correct and .... the more ‘features’ asked for the bigger it will get & the less inclined for most to read it.  ::).  There are enough people who ask questions on forums without bothering to do some reading first.  ;)

RTFM, and specifically the lack thereof on the part of many users, drives the engineer in me crazy.
