Anyone affected by Slingshot not connecting, could you log on to the SA website and click the "My account" link to see what the status of your subscriptions is for me? Even though my login works with both FlyQ and the Chart Data Manager, mine says the SkyView account is expired. SA thinks this may be what is wrong and are looking into it. I want to see if this is the common denominator with these issues.
I am having the same difficulty as Skyview can not locate device. When I tried to log onto the website, it does not recognize that I have a valid account. Granted it has been a while since I logged on to the website but my FlyQ app expiration dates far exceed my lifespan as I am a life member.

They've had that problem before. You'll need to contact them.

SA pointed to my expired Skyview chart data subscription as the likely cause too.

I didn’t realize: a) the chart data subscription had expired; b) one must subscribe to both FlyQ and SV chart data to transfer the data already on a FlyQ device to a USB drive plugged into a SV display.

Now I need to decide whether it’s worth a “double subscription”, as it were, in order to display geo- referenced airport diagrams on a larger SV display rather than a smaller iPhone. I don’t have an iPad, but if I did my impression is they are less sunlight-readable than SV Displays. I could let FlyQ expire, and continue loading the USB drives with Data Manager, but for me it’s easier to upload FlyQ-written flight plans to the SV than to enter them with SV buttonology.

To sum up, Slingshot’s “failure” was apparently pilot error on my part, and the fix is living with the feeling it’s “not fair” paying twice for chart data already in FlyQ in order to display it on SV, whether or not one gets the data to SV with Slingshot.

It’s absolutely fair, IMO, for SA to price their products and services as they see fit, and for me to decide whether I’m getting value for the money or not.

Ok, so this problem turns out to be a subscription problem with the SkyView Seattle Avionics Chart Data Manager. Contact Seattle Avionics to
help resolve the subscription problem. Once that is resolved Slingshot works
