I'm finally powering up my Panel, it is a dual skyview with the AP control panel, Knob Control Panel and SV-Com and Com panel. When I turn on the master, the two skyview screens power up. The SV-Com Panel is on the Avionics master. If the main panels have come up, and then I turn on the avionics master, the SV-Com panel does not come on. (This is say the first time I've powered for the day.)
Next I shut the master off and power down the screens. Now if I flip the Avionics switch on, then turn on the master, the HDX screens come up and the SV-Com panel is on and comes up.
Now this is where it got confusing, I repeated the first steps at this point, shut everything down, now just turn on the master and let the HDX screens come up. After they are up, I flip on the Avionics power and the SV-Com will come up. So it seems to be after it has set for a while, like the Com has an internal battery that has gone dead or is dying.
I would have thought the SV-Com panel it would act like the A/P servos, when the AP switch is off, it cannot find the servos, but once it is powered on, they are found. Am I missing a setting? Should the SV-Com have been wired to the master power and not Avionics secondary power? I did not build my panel, it was wired by Stein, not to throw them under the bus if this is wrong.
If it helps, the other items on the Avionics master are the gtn650 and audio panel.
Thanks,
Lynn Buchanan
