We no longer recommend that the SV-INTERCOM-2S be used with two COM radios. We're revising the SV-INTERCOM-2S manual to reflect this changed recommendation.
If you wish to use two COM radios, we recommend that you install an audio panel from PS Engineering.

When two COM radios are used with the SV-INTERCOM-2S, there is no way to mute (audio from) the second COM radio when one COM radio is transmitting.

The SV-COM-C25 does not support the "interlock" signal that is a feature of most other COM radios.

The requirement to use a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) to switch the PTT signal so that only one COM radio transmits at a time is a poor user experience.
The second COM radio input is still present in the SV-INTERCOM-2S, so if you decide to connect two COM radios to an SV-INTERCOM-2S you can do so; but our recommendation is not to do so.
Hi Dynonsupport,
can you please tell a bit more about the issue why only one COM should be used with SV-INTERCOM?
In my panel modernization project I would like to keep the old 25KHz spaced Collins COM for emergency and add one SV-COM-X83 (+SV-D1000T,...). I have an old simple audio amplifier with fading performance I would like to swap. Wiring for two COMs and external switches to toggle mike input etc. can be left. Therefore SV-INTERCOM would be perfect.
Thx, Stefan
