I'm installing a Skyview HDX along with a Garmin GPS 175. I would also like to add a NavCom, and am waffling between the Trig TX56 and the Garmin GNC 215. My best understanding is that, the GNC 215 can display bearing and distance to a NavAid, but the Trig will only display bearing. I think the GNC can do this because of its connection to the GPS 175, because they are both Garmin. Is that truly a difference in the capabilities between the TX56 and the GNC 215 (when paired with the GPS 175), or does Trig also have a way of pulling that information from the GPS 175? That information would be helpful when flying a DME arc as part of an ILS or VOR approach.
Thanks.
Thanks.
