Update issues

Just purchased a 2010 RV-7A equipped with dual 10" SkyViews. I believe it is the "Classic" model. It is currently runnning version 15.0.4. I am attempting to update them to the latest version, 15.4.7. I've followed the instructions and downloaded the new version and copied it to a USB drive. (I've tried both method 1 & method 2 ). When I try to download the software to my Skyview using the Method 1 download, ( which is a .DUP file), it does not work at all...."file error" comes up on screen. Today I used the Method 2 download prompt, ( .DUC file); the screen shows a box that says "UPDATE STATUS" on top and a Extracting file progress bar below. The progress bar immediately moves slightly and reads 1%, but seems to get stuck there ....waited 10 minutes...no change/progress. Did a reboot ,( buttons 1,2, &5) and tried again. This time it moved quickly to 2%, but no further.
Any thoughts/ suggestions?

You might like to try a different USB stick. If my memory is correct then there is a problem with some brands.
Tried a new USB stick.... it finally worked after many , many reboots.....Thanks.

Sorry to hear your experience, Walt. Most of us have never had any issue with updates or support requests (including me). In face, I just sent an email to support and had an auto-reply in just a few minutes. Other requests have always been responded to within hours or a few days, at most. The fact that a different USB drive eventually worked for you indicates it was not a Dynon problem or even something they could have fixed.
