That’s funny under the Description column they are called serial ports.

Because logically, and electronically, they are serial ports, just not physically distinct serial ports. Each if the five pairs of wires in the 12 wires (pins 2 through 12), on the D37M physical port is a logical serial port, in that the data moving in and out of the system on those wires conforms to RS232 Serial port protocols, exactly as a physically distinct serial port would.
