We endeavoured today to update to Skyview version i1.1. The right screen updated fine but then came up with a software mismatch error.

When then updating the left screen it locked up at the splash screen. After waiting 20 minutes we tried to power off with the left hand button without success, so powered off the master. The screen shut down immediately (even though back up battery installed).

Powering up again 5 times the right hand screen would boot each time. It was on EMS and would display sensors crossed out.

The left screen would come up with the Splash screen. Each power off it seemed to alternate between running on battery and powering off instantly.

I have the log file (500meg) I can FTP if required and also the various user files.

This is the start of our summer vacation so suggestions appreciated. We have wondered about disconnecting the cable between the two screens to see if that helps?

My method is to power off 1 x screen & do the other with all other Dynon products powered up then do the same for #2 followed by a Network Configuration (with ALL the systems turned on), you can leave the backup battery disconnected for this too if you want.
Pm me if you want & I'll call to give further guidance if needed  :)

Thanks for the suggestions, no luck. We also tried disconnecting the cable between the 2 units.

We are hoping there is some sort of "safe" mode to allow it to boot off a usb or similar.

Anxiously waiting advice from Tech Support three days before Xmas with the plane grounded in peak summer!

You are welcome. Merry Christmas, and enjoy your summer! We are jealous here in the rainy Northwest of the US.
