What makes Skyview “legal” for IFR?

So, with IFR inspected transponder, current pubs/charts/plates and with min IFR equipment specified in the FAR, could a plane be “legal” (recognizing that this isn’t necessarily the same as “safe”) IFR with a SV-GPS-2020 + Dynon Skyview?

Thanks!

The SV-GPS-2020 antenna is not part of the IFR equipment. It will make you legal for ADS-B out, though, assuming it is used in conjunction with the Dynon 261 transponder.

This has been asked and answered dozens, if not hundreds, of times on this and other forums. Basically, what does YOUR Operating limitations say?

And if you can find equipment that isn't TSO's but you can prove to the FAA it performs to the TSO standard, then go for it.

Thank you. So, how does one “prove it”?

I believe the database has to be certified, as well, and since you're not producing that, there's no way for you to do so.
