Which Horsepower, Rated or Dyno?

When you configure your engine horsepower setting:

• EMS SETUP > ENGINE INFORMATION > HORSEPOWER

Do you set this at the rated horsepower of the engine? Or do you set it at what the engine Dyno’d at?

Neither. The more efficient you engine, the lower your HP setting in the SV. You twiddle this setting until your PK setting matches the EGT peak.

Through experience it's turned out to be a bit of a misnomer. But Vern has it right: you want to use that adjustment to bring the PK indicator in line with the actual EGT peak so that the %HP and PK/ROP/LOP indications are all in agreement.
