You have covered the first requirement - proper crimping tool.I do have the proper crimpers but the problems I have seen (just a few) is with the sliding connection and not the crimp portion.
I can unhook and reslide the connection and the issue goes away for a while- sometimes to return.
What of the second - quality connecters?
Good quality connectors will have a tight fit, when pressing together and require some effort to disconnect. Repeated connect/disconnect and poor quality connectors, will tend to be looser . The easiest/quickest fix is a CAREFUL squeeze, with pliers, the female connector - I usually go for the side squeeze first. This has the effect of slightly curling the fitting, improving the clamping pressure & reducing the internal width very slightly.
