I tried booting the skyview directly from the Backup Battery yesterday (Button 1).  The Dynon splash screen came on very dimly, faded out and then nothing, screen remained black and hung.  I unplugged the backup battery, and attempted to boot via aircraft power... Booted right up, with no...

Once the unit is hung in the boot sequence (Master Switch ON) Backup Battery attached... Then nothing solves the issue, you can cycle the master on and off, 1-2-5, or 1. The only thing that works is power down the aircraft (Master OFF) unplug the Backup Battery and then power the aircraft up...

OK... I think I know where I was going wrong. I was going into setup mode 7-8 buttons, thinking it would be there. After reading your post and comparing it to the manual, I see where I should be going... I am in Setup so much these days my figures go there by default... Thanks for help!!

I was not able to find the option to add the ETE (Next). Probably something I am not seeing. I will follow Map>Map Menu>info items tomorrow to see if I missed something. I don't remember seeing an "Info Items" menu option.

The 1-2-5 is always the first thing to try... it has no affect on the boot process of my SV. once it hangs on the boot (Black Screen) nothing but removing the BU Bat works...

I am also having a similar issue...  I have a single 10" SV.  I RMA'd my original and I was given a Reman as a replacement. I had trouble booting right out of the box.  I also thought it was a VP-X Pro issue, but had plenty of voltage.  The VP-X indicated "No EFIS Data" I could see on the VP-X...

Yes... I will see what I can capture. Boot is normal, everything seems to be working fine. Then "Splat" everything goes offline. I thought it may be a low battery, but I ruled that out the other day. Main Battery showing 12.5v. It seemed to start when I installed version 7 about 6 months...
