    Fuel Calibration question

Interesting, we've never run into this before. You should be able to set it by fussing with the values. This assumes you are willing to be careful, think through the process, and then verify the final results so that they are accurate. (Side note: SkyView automatical picks the amount and number...

    External ambient light sensor

Have you tried going into the setup menu and adjusting the dim level settings?

    SkyView Documentation

We used to print and ship manuals with every display, but we received a lot of complaints about wasting paper. Almost everyone told us that preferred it on the USB stick, so they can easily put it on their shop computer or tablet. And so they could print sections, particularly wiring diagrams...

    External ambient light sensor

Your best option is to just set the screen brightness manually. If you go to Screen->Dim, you can set the brightness with a cursor knob. Also, you can use an external control knob, so you always have easy access to control brightness. We sell one to mount in your panel.

Does The GPS 2020 Handle Signals other Than WAAS?

No, do not upgrade to the SV-GPS-2020 for use in Australia. The SV-GPS-2020 does not receive any of these other GNSS systems, or use any SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System) other than WAAS. The SV-GPS-250 does receive these other GNSSs. We are not experts on the Australian system, but...

We are getting close. Within a few months everything should be in place for you to upgrade a C172.

    Tune Com with Touch

BTW, its worth mentioning that there is another shortcut. If the airport is close, push APT on the COM control module, rotate the smaller knob to select the right airport, push the knob to accept, and then push TWR and push the knob to switch to active.

    Tune Com with Touch

Once you touch on the airport, then touch "INFO" (assuming you are on the MAP menu) at the bottom. It will bring up the airport page, touch COM, select which COM you want, and then touch "TUNE COM" at the bottom. This takes several touches, but since airports commonly have several frequencies...

High oil pressure reading with Kavlico sensor

The first question is whether this is a new installation, or a problem that cropped up in a plane that has been flying for a while. It is unlikely to be the sensor definition file, unless you did something to change them. Please contact our tech support directly, to get troubleshooting help...

Skyview Autopilot Calibration asking for Yaw Servo

David, This sounds like your pitch shear screw is broken. The servo is no longer connected to the controls. Because of this, when you do a calibration, we only see one servo move, which causes the software to assume the servo that didn't move must be a yaw damper servo. Of course, this is also...

How do I get the Autopilot to fly an IFR approach?

We would ask everyone to be patient with each other on these forums. It is worth pointing out that the market is changing. It used to be that everyone here was building their own plane, and so they were intimately acquainted with every detail.  That is still true for many pilot builders, but...

    ADSB 472

Guys, let's tone this down a bit. It's fair that a Dynon customer is disappointed in the delays on the 472. We are too here at Dynon. While ADS-B is optional, it's a great technology that has become pretty standard, and it's hard to fly without once you are used to it, and fair that you're...

AP 74 not turning on after update of 5.6.1

First question: when you did the firmware upgrade, were all of the devices - AP74 and Servos - powered on?

How do I get the Autopilot to fly an IFR approach?

Historically, most Dynon IFR panels are equipped with an SL30 or GNS430. Newer equipment would be the GTN650 or Avidyne IFD440/IFD540. Dynon EFIS systems are all designed to work with these GPS navigators, which provide CDI and Glideslope data. Table 8 in the SkyView Installation Manual shows...

How to display fuel quantity in tenths (xx.x)

That is not an option. Your fuel level sensor is not accurate to tenths, and you don't want a false sense of accuracy. Information derived from a fuel flow sensor is shown in tenths.

Changing the fuel level widget to "height of bar"

It was just a bug. We will replace it in a future version.

    ADSB 472

Do you mean required by the FAA? No, and in fact you do not have to have ADS-B IN at all, either on your panel or on a portable device. It is an optional, albeit incredibly valuable, benefit of ADS-B.

    ADSB 472

Bob, The SV-ABSB-472 is a very important product for Dynon. We had a glitch in a component that, in some installations, did not work as well as we intended. We have been working to fix the problem, and have both software and hardware improvements near completion. Since you are looking for...

    Not enough volume

Unfortunately, there is no simple trick to get more level out of the SV-COM. We have the levels set so that full volume is just on the verge of clipping (5V pk-pk). If we changes component values and increased the gain further, it would clip and be distorted.
