IFR Flying and Route Display on the Map

The flight plan source is always shown on the map, in the lower left corner. On Touchscreen devices, tap this to change sources.

    My ADS-B antenna fell out

ADS-B is both 978 and 1090. Neither a 978MHz or 1090MHz antenna is perfect, but the frequencies are so close that either generally works fine. Simple antennas like a "stick" transponder antenna don't suddenly just not work at 1029 MHz.

    No Voltage Indication

This voltage comes of pin 1 on the EMS. It is not the voltage the screen is getting.

IFR Flying and Route Display on the Map

Two questions: 1) What do you expect the map to show if you choose a VHF source (VOR/ILS) on the HSI? 2) Does anyone have a use case where the flight plan source changing automatically based on the HSI source would cause a problem?

    WRONG WIND VECTOR & INTENSITY

Both of these require in-flight calibration, which the installation manual describes. Your winds are wrong because your heading is wrong and your compass needs calibration. Generally, these are both things we would expect the aircraft manufacturer to complete before delivering an aircraft.

    ETE/ETA computations "jumpy"

Oh, we forgot about that filter. We'll get right on that! ;)

    ETE/ETA computations "jumpy"

The ETA needs to reflect your current speed. It's expected that it goes up sometimes, since it needs to reflect the longer time if you slow down. The issue is that when you're 55 minutes away from something at 150 knots, changing your speed by 0.1 knots changes your arrival time by 3 seconds, so...

Is a disappearing EMS widget possible?

However, you can choose "black" for the color when it's in one state, which makes it pretty much invisible. The text will still be there. One option is to set up the input with an alarm, and not put it on the screen at all. It will throw an alert if it goes off.

Rotax 914 Software analysis for CH overtemperature

You're pulling the Dynon Diagnostic file if it is in a password protected ZIP. You need to be pulling the user datalog file.

Can we get a dark color scheme for night flight?

SkyView's displays go dimmer than the industry standard used in Transport aircraft, which is 0.4 nits. We can go down to 0.2 nits, which is incredibly dim. You should only just be able to see this in a dark room. This is 1/5000th of full brightness. Something might be up with your light sensor...

    ETE/ETA computations "jumpy"

We added seconds in 15.1 because we had complaints that seconds were needed and it was standard on other GPS units! We literally had customers tell us they wouldn't buy our system if it didn't have seconds. For their use case, it can't be filtered by much or the delay will break the ability to...

    Roll sensitivity vs gain

Steve, You don't reset the sensitivity when moving to roll gain. However, if you're up at 24 in roll gain, you may have missed a detail in the flow. Up sensitivity until the overshoot stops getting better, then work on roll gain. For instance if you can't detect a reduction in overshoot when...

How do I connect a GPS to an AP74?

As Ray mentioned, the EKP IV has NMEA out, which can be hooked to the EFIS to allow the Autopilot to follow the flight plan. You need to hook the TX from the EKP to the RX on the EFIS. Details are in our install manual. This will be a physical wire between the units. The system does not support...

    GPS Failover failed

The map needs altitude to do terrain awareness. You can't use barometric altitude because that can be off by hundreds of feet from reality even when set correctly. The terrain database is all in the same datum as GPS data, so that's the only safe way to use it. The same issue drives Synthetic...

    'Autopilot disconnect broken'

There is an optional resistor that can be installed to allow the system to detect a broken disconnect wire. If just this resistor breaks, then you can get the behavior you describe. Check out page 10-10 and 10-22 of the install manual for more guidance.

What kind of airplane are you flying?

What makes you think that plane has an autopilot?

    Intercom wireing

Pin 13 is power to the intercom. When there's power here, the intercom is on. It's up to your aircraft electrical design to figure out where this is switched in your plane, since there are many different opinions on how a plane should be wired.

Can push rod bearing be attached to rear side

Sorry we missed your question the first time. We do our best, but stuff does sometimes get missed especially if it requires deeper research like this question did. We have better tracking of questions in our more formal paths such as phone calls or email support. The rod bearings Dynon sells...

IAS rather than VS on inital AP button push

Can you explain why VS is more risky? VS inherently gives you a positive rate of climb, while IAS will descend if the requested IAS is too high or power is too low. If you are concerned about a stall, the AP is already low airspeed protected if the VS requested cannot be maintained. Also, what...
