I think Dynon recommends all the equipment attached and turned on on before an update but if the system finds a new piece of equipment later it will update it to the same version as the Skyview.

The single frequency push works for the Garmin GPS devices also. On my GPS495 I select any frequency and press the enter button. It places the frequency in the STBY on the Garmin radio. It doesn't blank out the SV MAP page if that is what you are looking for. Personally I like the automatic...

The EGT/CHT widget can be squeezed to fit just about any area. I hand tweaked mine to fit the bottom of the 20% screen. PM me and I can help you squeeze it down if that will work for you.
