    WTB: HS34

Don't give up - a compatriot of mine bought an airplane today and is planning a panel upgrade at some point soon - it has an HS34 that will be coming out, I'll post it here when it's available.

    Shunt breakage

Wow, I've got a pair of them in my airplane with more than 1200 hours and not a single crack - what are you guys doing to them?

    Static test

What device is the "chosen one" for applying a vacuum to the static system for testing?

    MDA Bug selection

Same behavior - you do have to select the minimums bug each time you want it active after a shutdown.

    Scammer

Maybe he's a legit seller, but just a homicide suspect on the lam? 😛😛

    Climbing using IAS

Perhaps you'll have better luck than I did, but when climbing in IAS mode my aircraft porpoises quite a bit as the autopilot "hunts" up and down around the target airspeed. It is not a smooth climb. I just use VS speed in the climb as adjust the rate as I go up and the airspeed starts to fall.

    Altitude indication and PTT switch

Is this an older kit? Some of the original EMS units were susceptible to EMF, and Dynon did an upgrade on them.

    VNAV

To each their own. I refuse to deal with bureaucracy and group-think. I'm happy to do my thing and apologize to no man.

Sectionals no longer clear and bright

You are supposed to be so intensely eaten up with excitement and curiosity about your new toys that you will read and re-read everything about them repeatedly. You will watch every video available and go to every fly-in with that vendor booth available and make a general nuisance of yourself...

    VNAV

If I worked for the gubmint, I think I would be too ashamed to admit that in public.

Low Fuel warning will not clear

A simple loose connection on the fuel level sensor could show up as a momentary low fuel reading that doesn't persist long enough to see on the EFIS - but that doesn't explain the ACK on the logs.

Low Fuel warning will not clear

Note - all comments below are based on the experimental software versions - you indicate that you are flying an RV12, if it's the LSA version rather than EAB version, then your software may indeed be different. There are apparently two different datalogs available to you according to Appendix...

Low Fuel warning will not clear

What does your fuel indicator show? Is it possible you've got a bad fuel sender that is indicating zero? This could be a bad sender or a bad wire somewhere.

    VNAV

VNAV currently does not allow for any specific altitude crossing at a fix, unless that's being fed to it from an IFR receiver through the 429. Skyview itself only generates VNAV for the 2-degree downslope approach into an airport to the pattern altitude, and will not work on any other fix.

    Fuel sensor pins

Well I'll be dipped, you're correct. IIRC that wasn't an option when I built my aircraft.

    Fuel sensor pins

You will need to use a capacitance-to-voltage converter to output a voltage between 0-5 volts, and tie that into the standard EMS resistive inputs. Dynon used to sell a version of the convertors but I believe that's been discontinued. Another company by the name of Princeton makes a good one.

Sectionals no longer clear and bright

If weather is selected on, and you're on the ground without ADSB-IN weather data, this is very likely the cause. Once you take off and climb several hundred feet the ADSB should pick up the local weather data and the issue will clear itself. The local (regional) weather data populates first as a...

Seattle Avionics vs Garmin GPS175 published appoaches

Lots of questions there for an answer, and I don't work for Dynon, but... The Dynon system does not now, and never has, had a certified IFR navigator. We've been asking for it for many years, and occasionally I've gotten someone with Dynon to smile about it when I ask, but they have never made...

    EMS / FT60 voltage issue

First check your old cubes for power, ground, and signal wire problems - you might not have dead cubes, just a bad connection on a wire.

    EMS / FT60 voltage issue

The FT-60 does not send a "voltage" to indicate fuel flow, it sends a pulse connecting to ground for a very short period of time each time the turbine wheel inside the FT-60 spins and breaks an IR light beam internally. You can simulate this by taking the signal pin on the EMS and tap it to...
